World Cup 2014 Brazil vs Germany 1st Semifinal

World Cup Semifinal 2014: Brazil vs. Germany start time of 4 p.m. ET Brazil and Germany have reached World Cup finals on seven previous occasions. Catch all the live updates here.

Brazil and Germany will clash on Tuesday in the World Cup 2014 first semifinal as the hosts attempt to navigate their way past their biggest challenge yet in this year's World Cup. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the ESPN network.

Brazil will have to be at their absolute best today if they are to get past Germany and maintain their dream of winning the World Cup on home soil. They are missing star player Neymar after he fractured his spine in Brazil's quarterfinal against Colombia.

They are also missing captain Thiago Silva, who is suspended for today's game after picking up a second yellow of the tournament in their previous game. That means Dante will have to deputize, but it will be difficult for Brazil to replace those two key players.

Neymar could be replaced by a similar attacking player such as Willian or Bernard, or they may instead decide to put three in central midfield. Meanwhile, for Germany there are no new injury concerns, and that means coach Joachim Low must decide whether or not to recall center-back Per Mertesacker, who was dropped for the game against France. Brazil will play Germany, with a start time of 4 p.m. ET, and the game can be watched on TV on the ESPN network. On Tuesday, Brazil and Germany kick off the World Cup semifinals, where there are no real party-crashers to be found.

The buzz: Brazil, a five-time champion and playing at home, meets Germany, whose three titles are second-most in the tournament's modern era. Both teams are unbeaten, but the matchup lost much of its luster when a hard tackle from Colombia's Juan Zuniga knocked Brazilian star Neymar out of the tournament with a cracked vertebra.    source: christianpost.com

World Cup 2014: Early goal carries Argentina to 1 - 0 win

Argentina vs Belgium match will be played on Saturday, 5 July at 9:00 AM Pacific in Estadio Nacional de Brasilia. This world cup 2014 soccer match is going to be very significant for Belgium as they haven’t arrived at the semi finals since the World Cup in Mexico in 1986, where they vanished to France by 4 – 2.

Argentina looked much more solid on defense this match. Messi could definitely strike Cortois on the one-on-one. The Argentines for playing their best game yet. The defense in exacting was disciplined and rock-hard, never in fact allowing Belgica an outstanding look at goal. Argentina has won each match they played on this tournament, other than despite their obvious effectiveness, the quality of the football they are playing is lacking.

In the FIFA World Cup 2014 Argentina vs Belgica soccer match: Higuain’s goal in the 8th minute proved to be sufficient for the South Americans on a day when the Red Devils simply could not get their wrongdoing going. Argentina will now countenance the winner of the Netherlands-Costa Rica quarterfinal clash, to be played later on this Saturday night.  - Source: foxsports.com
